Today, we learned how to use clustering as a brainstorming strategy before responding to any writing prompt. Think about today’s practice. How did clustering help you generate ideas, examples, etc for the prompt? What part of the clustering process was most useful to you, and do you think you would use this strategy when planning an AP Lang essay? Explain.

Prompt Response: Clustering helped me generate ideas and examples for the job prompt by keeping it in front of me with subtopics. The most useful part of clustering is being able to easily write your body paragraph due to the information already being written. I would most definitely use this strategy for the AP exam essays because it is a good way to write down ideas so when you start your paragraphs, you have all the information to finish. 

Summary: Today in class, we went over the brainstorming process of an argumentative essay. 

Reflection: This is important so we can write a strong essay for the AP exam.

Prompt Response:  I made a claim stating that  The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping  will be the best movie of the year. Someone asked me why, and I backed it up by stating some evidence. How has living in or around Atlanta influenced the way you see your community, culture, or identity? If you were speaking to someone unfamiliar with Atlanta, what would you want them to understand about your community?

Prompt Response:  Living around Atlanta has influenced how  I see my community because everyone behaves  differently. I see people being respectful and kind, and then I see them  throwing their trash into  bushes and onto  the side of the road. Atlanta is a very expressive community where people can be themselves. There are artistic murals and graffiti around. It makes me feel like I can be true to who I am. Something I would tell someone who is not from Atlanta is to go with the flow and express yourself.  Summary: Today in class, we read Keisha Lance Bottoms' speech, " Go   Home ." We identified the speaker, purpose, audience, context, and exigence. Reflection:  This is important because it is good to know our city's history and the past events that have happened that shape the city into what it is today.

Prompt Response:  I disagree with this antithesis. In my experience, I spend more time being social and connecting with others during school, extracurriculars, and workplaces. When I get home, I am not on my devices contacting people as much. Technology has influenced the way one communicates and builds relationships by making people more confident due to not being face to face. For example, people with social anxiety may have an easier time texting  someone rather than speaking in person.  Summary: Absent Reflection:  Absent
